Security Culture Workshop for Libya

Course Goal

The goal of the Security Culture course is to increase awareness threats to radiological security and consequences of ineffective security culture. Participants and instructors will discuss the impact of the human factor and cultural obstacles on radiological security effectiveness. Later in the course, participants will discuss key elements in the conduct of security culture inspections and self­-assessments. Instructors will reinforce key elements of a systematic security culture implementation program. Throughout the course, the instructors will provide special focus on select areas allowing participants to gain the knowledge and skills to fulfill their individual security responsibilities.

Structure

The course is comprised of modules that are delivered using lecture, discussion, and activities. Participants enjoy real stories of security culture to relate to course material or reflect on their own experience. The final exercise is a virtual tabletop that requires participants to use all the skills and knowledge learned during the course.
