On behalf of the United States Department of Energy and Sandia National Laboratories (operated by National Technology and Engineering Solutions of Sandia, LLC.), we are pleased to invite you to attend the Mongolia Security Culture Workshop to be held at the in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from 9-10 September 2025. The training is hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy / National Nuclear Security Administration’s Office of Radiological Security (ORS) in cooperation with Sandia National Laboratories.

ORS has developed this training course to help provide site staff, security personnel, and local law enforcement.  The goal of the Security Culture course is to increase awareness of threats to radiological security and consequences of ineffective security culture. Participants and instructors will discuss the impact of the human factor and cultural obstacles on radiological security effectiveness. Later in the course, participants will discuss key elements in the conduct of security culture inspections and self-assessments. Instructors will reinforce key elements of a systematic security culture implementation program. Throughout the course, the instructors will provide special focus on select areas allowing participants to gain the knowledge and skills to fulfill their individual security responsibilities.
